Amphenol brand Plenum foil screened twisted pair (FTP) Cat-5E networking cable improves data integrity in EMI/RFI rich environments. For most applications, unshielded Cat5E is the preferred cable type for network installations. However, certain environments such as hospitals, avionics bays, military installations, industrial factories, and broadcast studios are crawling with potential EMI/RFI interference. Our shielded Category 5E modular patch cable features a concentric foil screen overlay that protects the internal twisted pair bundles from interference. The foil also improves cross talk performance by maintaining proper pair spacing. Impedance matched RJ45 connector terminations are fully shielded as well.
